Job Posting: Seasonal eCommerce Assistants

Job Posting: Seasonal eCommerce Assistants

By Tamsin Hill

Paid Per Product | Flexible Hours | Immediate Start | Work from Anywhere | Freelance

We’re hiring multiple Seasonal eCommerce Assistants to help us upload and update product listings on our Shopify store before the end of August. This is a fully remote, task-based role, ideal for anyone confident working from spreadsheets and online systems.

Whether you're a savvy university or college student looking for paid summer work, or someone organised and tech-confident looking for flexible freelance income, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll help us get our full product catalogue live on our Shopify store, using a detailed product sheet and image library. Tasks include:

  • Uploading new products from a Google Sheet into Shopify

  • Editing and correcting existing listings

  • Writing and formatting product titles, tags, descriptions, SEO, and metafields

  • Uploading and selecting the correct images

  • Entering variant information (e.g. sizes, colours)

  • Adding weights, prices, and stock settings

  • Following a clear style guide and process to ensure consistency

  • Avoiding duplicates and checking data quality

Pay Per Product (Piece Rate)
We offer a fair piece rate that aligns with the UK National Minimum Wage for all workers, including those under 18. Rates are:

  • £1.00 per simple product (e.g. no variants or 1–2 sizes)

  • £4.00–£5.00 per complex product (e.g. multiple sizes, colours, or detailed variant options)

This ensures you earn at least the minimum wage, even at a slower pace. You’ll be paid weekly by invoice, and you can work flexibly to hit your personal upload targets. We’re onboarding a small team to share the workload.

Project Timeline
Start Date: Immediate
Goal: All products live by 31 August 2025
Ongoing freelance work may be available after that for the right people
